Redfella’s Pick of the Day!!!

Breakout” is a single from British pop act Swing Out Sister‘s debut album It’s Better to Travel.

The single reached the number four position in the UK in 1986, and rose to number six pop and number one adult contemporary in the U.S. in 1987. The song also resulted in a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

The single was written and performed while the group was still a trio. It would become one of their biggest hits, and the song most closely associated with the act. In the U.S., “Breakout” remains a staple of adult contemporary and smooth jazz radio station playlists.

Tyler Wallace’s Spaghetti and Meatballs is Redfella’s Pick of the Day!

Tyler is 13 and goes to school at Bothwell Middle School here in Marquette.  Spaghetti and Meatballs was written recently by him after his mom made spaghetti for dinner. The song was recorded today at Redfella Records while he was there for “Bring your child to work day” Redfella “adopted” him for the day so that he could see how a recording studio works. Tyler wants to own his own recording studio one day and is already recording some of his own music at home on his computer. He has played guitar for 2yrs now and played the guitar and sang on his recording of Spaghetti and Meatballs.

He dedicated the song to his mom!
