|The 2013 Eagle Mine public tour schedule is filling up fast. Only a few spots remain to see the surface facilities that support this modern day nickel-copper mine.|
Tours are held on Friday and Saturday. The Friday tour runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the Saturday tour runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Departure and return location: Eagle Mine Information Center, 153A West Washington Street, Marquette
Dress: Participants must wear long pants; no shorts, skirts, or capris. Shirts with sleeves must be worn; no tank tops, halter tops, swimsuits, etc. In addition, participants need to wear sturdy, closed toe shoes; no sandals, flip flops, or heels. A hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses will be provided.
Reservation confirmation is required: The minimum age for the tour is 16 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Participants will be walking approximately 1/2 mile during the tour.
