In celebration of Valentine’s Day the Peter White Public Library hosts a screening of “Shakespeare in Love” on Thursday, February 14 at 7:00 pm in the library’s community room.

A fast-moving romantic comedy set in London in 1593, the seven time Oscar winning film is the story of William Shakespeare, a struggling young playwright played by Joseph Fiennes, who suffers from writer’s block. When Shakespeare meets and falls instantly in love with the startlingly beautiful Viola, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, his creative powers are unleashed as Romeo and Juliet, one of the greatest and most tragic love stories of all time.

The 1998 film also stars Judi Dench and Geoffrey Rush, is rated R and runs for 122 minutes. There is no charge for admission and attendees are welcome to bring their own refreshments. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
