Amanda was born into a family of entertainers and after 18 years of singing and performing with her sisters and mother she has developed a passion for song writing. In the past Amanda’s songs have featured on the families albums and she has gained skills that make her pure vocals a favourite amongst all those fortunate enough to hear her perform.
She is a natural on stage and this captivates her audience making them feel as though they are the only person being played to.
It is finally time for her talents to blossom in her own solo album. She feels that doing her solo album has been a huge step and as she would laugh and say way out of her comfort zone. But having so many special people that have believed in her makes it all worth while and she said after hearing the finished product it was worth all the time and effort spent.
The other side of the coin to recording is live performance and Amanda just loves singing. When she delivers the lyrics of her songs it reveals a moment or time that is important to her and hearing them played back on her CD allows her to remember that particular time or place. Performing her music lets her forget all her troubles and at times it helps her come to terms with certain obstacles in her life. All kinds of music excite her but like most it depends on her mood.
Amanda has travelled widely since her teens playing music and performing in talent competitions, but coming from a musical family she found herself playing for a variety of musters, festivals and private functions through out Queensland . Playing and jamming with fellow musicians is quite often what inspires her to write songs longing to be performed.
She has often said “My greatest thrill is performing in front of people and having them appreciate my songs and singing. I especially love when someone can relate to what I am singing about”
