Dave Grohl: Hall of Fame Performance Took “a Little Bit of Musical Preparation and a Lot of Emotional Preparation”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Nirvana drummer admits that neither he nor original bassist Krist Novoselic had played the band’s songs since Kurt Cobain‘s death and that they hand’t “even start[ed] talking about playing until about eight weeks ago. It just seemed practically impossible. It was hard to imagine jumping onstage and playing those songs.”
