Filmmakers Plead Not Guilty, Respond to Charges in “Midnight Rider” Case

Danny ClinchThe husband-and-wife director and producer team of the Gregg Allman biopic Midnight Rider have pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges stemming from an on-set accident that killed a crew member.

Earlier this month, Randall Miller and Jody Savin were charged with involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespass in the death of 27-year-old camera assistant Sarah Jones, who was struck by a train and killed on the Midnight Rider set.

Executive producer Jay Sedrish was also slapped with the same charges in connection with the accident, in which several crew members were hurt.
