Today, singer and songwriter Justin Egling aka JMAXX, announced that his second international music video Sassy Girl will be dedicated to women working within the entertainment industry.
“Sassy Girl” – The second release from JMAXX’ 3rd album, Kiss of the Spider was shot within a day and a half and produced by Flash Forward Productions.
The visual concept is based on the seductive influences of the Femme fatale. “Our searches for our leading lady started with a look at the performing arts. Our desire to capture the raw feminine energy led us straight into to the talented dancer and entertainer Candice Faul”
“The release of Sassy Girl is a simple gesture that I hope will renew man’s adoration and respect for the fairer sex. It would please me if all the women of the world could rediscover their inner power and purpose”
The Sassy Girl tune is a fun, upbeat and catchy pop tune. This sentiment is complimented by a colourful music video, that captures the flamboyancy typically found at Mardi Gras and Carnivals. The mysterious and uncanny narrative twist, with its unique sexy style is edgy in nature and promises to break the mould of conventional music videos world-wide. Biography
Durban born, Justin Egling, aka JMAXX is a rare talent, displaying a deep understanding of South Africa’s various black cultural influences. With a zest for RMB, Kwaito, Hip-Hop and House mixed with a flavour of Pop, he is preparing to explode into the South African music scene with a BANG! Coming from a Portuguese mother, a Jewish father and German grandfather, he boldly ventures into the world of rhythm.
His love for the African beats and rhythmic influences forges a complex character, searching for release. This driving force feeds his desire, pushing him forward, expressing itself through song; a curiosity becomes a hobby to write and compose his own melodies and lyrics, and then finally, late in 2008 it culminates in the evolution of JMAXX.
Inherently very soft-spoken, bordering on shy with a passion for animals, he speaks with a determination and flaunts a “never say die” attitude. JMAXX declares: “I recognize that knowledge is power”. “They can strip you of everything, but they cannot take away dreams and knowledge” he testifies.
He portrays a childlike craziness, and displays an invincible spirit when he steps onto a stage.” This is the place he was born to be. Here, he is free to entertain patrons and fans with an energy and passion that has no bounds. JMAXX projects an inner strength, more like a power of being in total control conveying his feelings through this powerful medium of music.
His development from strength to strength culminated in the release of an album last year mostly contemporary pop. Each song with its own flavour: dance, acid jazz, ballads, trance, rock, country and reggae. “Living in a Danger Zone” is in stores through Bowline Music: the distribution company. His music videos, produced by Orcansu Productions, were broadcast on SABC, Channel O (Channel 320 on DSTV) and ETV with nationwide exposure on most radio stations.
